There are many styles available to African American ladies now, with the evolution of styling products and hair care implements, there isn’t any style that a lady can’t achieve all she needs is a bit of imagination.  In this picture the lady is wearing her hair in loose ringlet type curls which are piled loosely on the top of her head.  This style is great for day or night and can be worn with special clips or barrettes to spice it up for a night time look.  To style use a hot comb and roll hair into curls, finger separate and pin to the top of the head for a style that is ready in minutes
